Thankyou! Miley cyrus is ditching music

Miley cyrus an artist, tv and movie sensation is saying she is giving up music. Halleluha.

I’ve got a record coming out in June and then I’m done,” she said.
”I just want to work in movies. That’s what I like and that’s what I want to be doing.”

The Last Song, opening March 31, is Cyrus’ first major acting project outside of Hannah Montana.
So i wonder if she can drop the hannah montana  image and be taken as a serious actor?

Channing Tatum’s good looks equals dear johns success

We all know that Dear john was not a guys type of “chic flic”,but i guess a chick flic is never there genre.

Although, the movie still blew up the box office with ratings that beat out avatar which was at number 1 for weeks.

So could Channing Tatum be the reason?

Even though the romantic story line is excentelly written, the main character is a Ambercrombie & Fitch model! Due to his training in MIlitary school he also fit the role of a soldier great.

Sadly for all the woman, he is happily married to his costar (Jenna Dewan) from step up.

Overall this movie made me laugh, smile and cry.It has a powerful effect showing such events such as 9/11 and families without homes. Ofcourse there’d be no drama if they lived happily ever after from day one, so it brings in a lot of drama.

The next question is how did the movie change from the book without missing parts?

Why should you go see ‘Remember Me’

Robert Pattinson

I am wondering how many poeple would actually go see this movie “Remember Me”  if it wasnt for the hunk,Robert Pattinson.I think this movie will blow up in theaters, since the “Twilight Saga” has had girls tracking the stars every move.

Robert Pattinson caused traffic jams and crowds in New York, where he was shooting scenes for his newest film, “Remember Me”. A crowd of 200 gathered outside NYU’s Silver Center of Arts & Science once the tweets spread, the crowd of girls, some of whom had skipped school and arrived at 9 a.m. to watch their beloved “Twilight” star.

Yes, it does seem a little much, but if he has these devoted fans behind him, this movie is sure to do fine. So would you still be excited to see the movie if its star wasn’t Robert Pattinson?

Clash of the Titans?

Can the same star from Avatar amazing the audience in his new Film Clash of the Titans?

Clash of the Titans is a modern version of the 1981 Greek mythology film directed by Desmond Davis.

Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld.

With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

Is the plot line worth making another movie?

Rumors state that David Goyer could be on board to create a new story for the superhero.
Ellen Stodola

“It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s”……Another Superman film. Warner Brothers has announced that they will attempt to reboot the Superman franchise with a new film.

In talks to write the script is the co-write of the recent Batman movies, David Goyer. Christopher Nolan, the director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, is also rumored to be involved with the project, and his brother, Jonathan Nolan will assist Goyer with the script.

Shockingly, Brandon Routh and director Bryan Singer of the most recent film concerning the superhero, Superman Returns, have not been mentioned to be involved. This perhaps is due to the fact that Superman Returns dismally failed to meet expectations when it was released in 2006.

The next film is expected to come out within a few years, because if Warner Brothers does not make another film about Superman by 2011, they could be paying a hefty sum to the heirs of his creator. In addition, they’re anxious to make another film since they will reportedly lose the rights to this franchise in 2013.

Do the books being turned into movies really live up to the title?

Even if they do or don’t people are now buying the books to compare

Percy Jackson Lightning Thief movie sparks book sales

Analysts note that TV broadcasts of the Winter Olympics — which come hours after the results are known via the Internet — have not hurt ratings. Rather than cannnibalizing the audience, the Internet may be creating some strange mojo, in which water cooler chatter about big events and American medals actually boosts the TV audience.

But this isn’t so unusual, considering the synergy between two other media: books and movies. Just glance at USA Today’s best seller list, whose Top 10 includes — for the first time — all five books in Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The books obviously are getting a big boost from new movie Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Maybe parents suffering from a Harry Potter overdose have discovered a new series for their children. Maybe kids are buying the books to see how much deeper the plot is than the movie adaptation. Whatever, it counters the argument that kids would rather watch a movie (or TV) than read a book.

The movie/book mojo extends further on the best seller list. At #1 is “Dear John” by Nicholas Sparks, which evidently got a boost from the movie (and may have helped to carry “The Last Song” to the #3 spot). At #5 and #9 are “Shutter Island” by Dennis Lehane and “The Lovely Bones” by Alice Sebold, which also have been released as movies this year.

I’m actually less likely to read a book once I’ve seen a movie — I don’t like having the ending spoiled. But I sometimes will postpone seeing a movie, and rush out to get the book. Sounds backward, I know, but I usually find that the book to be deeper, more layered and more enjoyable than the movie. Call it The “Dune” Effect.

Movie review: Twilight vs. new moon

I know i am risking the wrath from”twihards” out there but twilight was excellent, although new moon was really not worth going to see.

I know Having an appearance of Robert Pattinson ultimitely means its going to be a succes. Although this wasnt the case, his looks were different from the first and the whole movie was not at all like the first.

Some would blame it on the switch of directors? I think that Catherine Hardwicked did a much better job potraying the books and the moivie in a whole, but summits demanding working ethic  and hours turned her off. It is ashame, i believe that new moon could of been even more of a succes if she had stayed.

Overall i think it just sends a bad message to kids, making girls go boy crazy at such a young age, choosing sides,”team Edward or Team Jacob”. I mean com’n little girls are asking the actors playing the parts of a vampire to ” bite me”.

Carmen D. Siering writes, “There is no Team Bella. Bella is a prize, not a person, someone to whom things happen…”, instead of someone who actually doing things within the story. Siering continues, “Bella does nothing that suggests she is a person in her own right. If Meyer hopes that readers see themselves as Bella, what is she suggesting to them about the significance of their own lives?”. I don’t think “The Twilight Saga” should be a model for anyone’s life, and should never of become this real.

Am i the only one that sees the craziness in this reality of it all?

New Shrek Film?

Should of they stopped at the first?

That is personally what I think.  The first was a fantastic kids movie, but the new ones are just boring.  To me it seems like they ran out of ideas so they just started making the rest about uninteresting stuff that drags on.  I am quite happy that the fourth is the last.

One Response to movie talk

  1. Seems like you’re on the right track with your blog here. You’re dealing with popular contemporary films, which automatically creates public interest and attracts attention. I agree with your opinions on the Shrek quartet. The first film had the strongest story line by far and the ones that followed just played off of the first’s popularity. Keep writing!
